Val Velocity is the leader of the Killjoy group The Ultra V's. The character only appears in The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys comic books.

Appearance

Val is initially shown in the comic with shown with white/ platinum blonde hair. He shares design similarities with Party Poison and later dyes his hair red in a symbolic gesture, believing the public will associate red with himself instead of Poison after his attack on Battery City. After the fall of Battery City, he no longer wears his mask, having thrown it out in the wastes later on.[1]

Personality

He only believes in things he can shoot, and so when deaths or other things occur he can either seem to be heartless, or take it more seriously than anyone else. He is also very stubborn and wants things to be done his way. His lack of faith in those who came before him like the original Killjoys led to his failed attempt at taking down Battery City and his unfortunately successful attempt at killing DJ Dr. Death Defying, who he believed was a BL/ind spy.[2][1]

Val doesn't think the Girl is anything special, unlike the original Killjoys who treated her like a prophet. Despite The Girl being associated with the group, if only by proximity and convenience, he thinks that the Girl is a waste of time. He is shown constantly reminding her how insignificant she is and how the original Killjoys could still be alive if they weren't protecting her. After the Girl was able to directly contribute to the downfall of Battery City and save the lives of souls trapped in there, he has a change of heart, returning Poison's mask to the girl and apologizing for everything he's done.[1]
